You really want to, you've worked hard to develop the skills you have and you enjoy every minute of doing what you love. And besides, people say that your artworks are...nice. Cute. Doesn't that count for something? Sure it does, there is no reason to panic and pointlessly push yourself forward. Enjoy your coffee break!
Besides, even if you didn't like the current level as much, there is absolutely nothing you can do about it at the moment. So many unfortunate happenings stand right between you and your dream. Recognizing any of the following?
1 - You don't have the time
You're right! After all, you are a human being, not a machine, waking up early every morning, heading to school/work, afterwards taking care of the household/kids/your homework, studying, you barely even finish all the tasks during the 24 hours that's been given to everyone.

Freelancing and Happiness--- I suspect there's a reason that most freelance artists have strong personalities. The entire lot of us seem to have established a strong sense of self and deep personal philosophies.

PE: Semi-Abstract ArtIn this article I'd like to explore "semi-abstract art" a little.

We should probably look at definitions of "abstract art" first, before we try to see what "semi-abstract art" could be.
Abstract art definitions:
"Abstract art seeks to break away from traditional representation of physical objects. It explores the relationships of forms and colors, whereas more traditional art represents the world in recognizable images." (dictionary.com)
"Drawings/Paintings focusing on the formal, non-representational aspect of imagery, emphasizing lines, colors, generalized or geometrical forms." (dA gallery description)

Gogoat (Far Right), the Riding Pokémon. It is a Grass type, and if you look at the image on the lower right it appears as though you can ride it!! It also knows the move Horn Leech.
Elikiteru (Bottom) is apparently an Electric/Normal type and is considered the Generation Pokémon. It knows the move Parabora Charge which heals the user while it damages opponent(s). It is said to use solar rays to generate electricity.Yayakoma (Far Left) is the Japanese Robin Pokémon and looks to be the region's Normal/Flying type. It can use the move Flame Charge.Yamchamu (Top) is known as the Naughty Pokémon. It's a Fighting type and knows the move Parting (Sharp?) Remark.

This doesn't sound like Sam as a character at all. Sure, i'm for her being more original, but why the skin-tight jump suit and shurikens?
The enemies she's always been fighting are ghosts, so even if she's going to use shuriken, they would need to be Fenton shurikens, and that would be a lot more high tech.
Besides superpowers ALL of the ghosts hunters use super high-tech instruments to fight with. The idea of Sam running around in this sounds 100% fanfiction.

Alice in Wonderland: Mad about Madness

Many of us remember or have seen the amazing Walt Disney movie "Alice in Wonderland", which became a live action movie in 2010. The original book, written by Lewis Carroll, had taken our imaginations and took it to a whole new level.

The story has been a ideal for many things, stories, clothing, jewelery, etc. Here on dA, you can type in "Alice in Wonderland" and you will see many variations of the story. Many people like to change the story into their own way, which has been seen in many books and manga. Some people like to take the outfits in the story and give them a more modern look, usually steampunk. Jewelry has also taken a huge role in he franchise, especially with the "Drink me" bottles and the "Eat me" cakes. The cute and peppy designs can give anyone the inspiration to do anything from the story of Alice's adventures through Wonderland.
